The below functions reflect the general details necessary to describe the essential work activities and accountabilities of this position and are not all inclusive. Other activities may be assigned.
Internal Support: Learn the business of CLA and support internal operations for our local accounting practice.
Tax Process:
Prepare and mail tax organizers
Organize and scan client documents
Assemble and disseminate final tax returns, along with instructions for client
Prepare extensions
Manage client deadlines, authorization forms and all reporting
Manage database and workflow systems to ensure accurate maintenance of client data
Respond to client needs on behalf of the tax team
Assist IT staff with imaging PCs and other functions
Prepare computer equipment for new hires
Equipment orders for the office
Schedule repairs as needed
Learning & Development:
Coordinate all logistics for support in-person sessions, webcasts, and virtual learning conferences
Monitor registration
Internal Operations Team: May have accountabilities across other internal operations roles or across multiple offices within a region.
Experience and Education:
Experience: Minimum of five years of related administrative experience.
Education: High school degree or equivalent. Associate or Bachelor's in Business Administration a plus.
Technical Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office Products is necessary. Regular use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, CRM, Adobe, STAR and other internal systems. Requires ability to quickly master new software applications as needed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
