Plant Sanitation Coordinator- Food Manufacturing- Quincy, WA

Kelly Scientific is searching for a motivated candidate to join an established frozen vegetable company in Quincy, WA as a Plant Sanitation Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for oversight of sanitation practices, standards, and procedures at the facility. The role involves training others, assisting with FDA audits, and staying current with best practices.
This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering competitive compensation and benefits.
Working hours for the position are flexible, and require occasional rotation to ensure oversight across shifts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Maintain and supervise sanitation department.
+ Continual development and maintenance of sanitation manual to reflect current practices and standards.
+ Achieve and maintain plant to sanitation quality standards.
+ Coordinate facility objectives and activities with other department supervisors to ensure an overall, orderly and efficient operation.
+ Assign responsibilities to department supervisors on all shifts.
+ Remain current with sanitation requirements and make adjustments to achieve desired results.
+ Maintain departmental training records.
+ Instruct subordinates about safe and efficient work habits and monitor their performance to ensure that safety and other company policies have been communicated to the personnel of the department and are being practiced.
+ Maintain complete and accurate departmental records and reports.
+ Review and sign-off on sanitation documents to confirm adequacy of sanitation preventative controls as part of food safety program.
+ Monitor microbiology testing results as a gauge of adequacy of sanitation practices and adjust accordingly.
+ Address situations that arise from plant audits and take action on any changes implemented.
+ Gain information from outside vendors and other technical resources to address sanitation processes and chemical usage.
+ Perform any other tasks that are necessary to accomplish department objectives.
+ Fill in for Shift Supervisor occasionally
+ Plant HACCP team member.
+ All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
+ Associates? or Bachelors? degree in natural science (Food Science, Biology, Chemistry etc.)
+ 1+ year of experience in a QA or Sanitation role within the food industry
+ Basic quality and sanitation aptitude.
+ Basic understanding of microbiology and food microbiological pathogens preferred.
+ Ability to lead and supervise staff and crews.
+ Ability to clean and operate sanitation equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Experience with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
